This is the music corner. A place for whatever’s in my headphones, from MF DOOM on cassette to Latin playlists and heavy hardcore breakdowns. I cannot forget electronic music (my first love, truly)
Eventually I’d like to keep loose listening logs here: what I’m looping, albums that hit at the right time, and artists that pair well with specific hobbies.
Physical stuff
Cassettes, CDs, and anything that lives on the shelf – long plays, full albums, and the comfort of flipping sides or swapping discs.
Vibes
Latin moods like Rawayana, Tainy, Bad Bunny (as of late!!), heavier stuff like Knocked Loose, and mixes made to match late–night games, drawing, or coffee sessions.
Learning Drums
I’m an on-and-off drummer. Mostly off as of late, but I want to pick it back up. My kit is the Alesis Nitro Max: a full electronic mesh kit with a 10" dual-zone snare, 440+ sounds, Bluetooth, Drumeo, and USB MIDI. Quiet enough for apartment playing, which is the whole point.
About to: get back to basics. Working on hold consistency and single-stroke rolls before trying to push tempo.
What I’m focusing on:
- Single stroke rolls (slow & clean before fast)
- Basic rock beat – kick/snare pattern
- Staying loose on the hi-hat
- Drumeo lesson progression
